SOUTH
AFRICA
South Africa is a country
endowed with bountiful
wildlife. It is also a country
of contrasting landscapes
and extraordinary ecosystems. It has five neighbouring countries, namely Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and has a coastline spanning 2700km.
1
Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape is one of the provinces of South Africa.
The second largest province in the country (at 168,966 km2) after Northern Cape. The climate in South Africa is moderate with 3 rainfall regions. The South Eastern coastline, known as the ‘Garden Route’, is our main hunting area and has all year round rainfall. Best hunting opportunities occur in the cooler months, May-September. The hunting terrain will vary from Eastern woodlands, grasslands and mountains. Most of the hunting is done on foot, but is not as taxing as in Zimbabwe. Indigenous species to South Africa only and other plains game are harvested here.
